A couple of weeks a go there was the GQ Men of the year Awards and I wanted to showcase the many different hairstyle on show that night for your enjoyment.
The showcase event tends to be one of the more male focused events on the circuit and you often get the whose who of famous male celebrities rocking their hairstyles and smartly dressed outfits on the red carpet.
This event is very much a British affair with a sprinkle of men from around the world particularly from the U.S. Our readers from across the pond will surely recognize most of the men in this article as we do tend to be closely attached to the hip when it comes to celebrity culture.
The first guy below is the Irish actor Aidan Turner who loves rocking his curly long hair. In this image he has it tied back away from his face which showcases his cracking sideburns!
Alexander Vlahos who comes from the British isles but had a Greek father and Welsh mother has starred in some well known period TV drams over the last few years. He has made it in to film yet but that’s only a matter of time.
Alexander has curly hair which is being held together with a styling aid, something like a mousse. The hair is neatly cropped around the sides and back and the top part has been allowed to flop over to one side.
Calvin Harris who has been in the news over the last few months has a very simple, tidy haircut which requires very little maintenance or styling. You can see the hair is nicely graded on the sides leading to a very average style on the top. You can keep it flat like Calvin has done in this pic below or if you want to you can add some volume by styling the hair upwards to form a quiff.
Chris Pine showcasing a blue steel look!
How long do you think he spent on making sure that hair stayed in placed. Combing it in that manner will require a trusty styling aid that sets quickly. Its a very neat hairstyle but your going to be constantly checking out you hair to make sure it’s still in one place.
David Gandy who has got to be one of the most famous male models out there. Still going strong at 36. His hair here is almost like a pompadour/undercut but it looks a little less obvious. The haircut goes well with his long face.
Dougie Poynter seems to have packed a lot in to his life and yet he is still only 28. Was successful in the band McFly when they were big and has gone on to dip his toes in all kinds of other things. Dougie signature look has always revolved around his long blonde hair.
Jack Guinness who is a well known model is rocking a side parted comb-over and a neatly trimmed beard. Very stylish with those grey bits of hair showing, a timeless hairstyle.
Singer James Bay is rocking the long hair, the strands of hair are curly at the end of the tips.
Lewis Hamilton has a funny hairstyle below. Graded on the sides the top looks like a curly buzz cut. I think this haircut doesn’t suit him as his face looks too long it doesn’t help that his forehead is big.
Louis Smith is sporting a lot of elongated shapes, add a man bun in to the mix, a undercut haircut, short tapered sides and it is a bold look.
Lets finish with the music artist Tinie Tempah. He has some rad looking Afro locks and a tapered hair on the sides.
Which hairstyles are you going to try?
